Welcome to the inaugural Global Health & Health Equity column! This column will cover hub activities and be a platform of relevant topics in our profession. The Global Health & Health Equity hub’s vision is to “foster organizational and professional partnerships to improve the development, access, dissemination, and understanding of health information for and by diverse populations in the United States and globally to improve the health of populations” [1]. The hub’s professional practice area includes the development of health information professionals globally, equity in access to health information, and international collaborations for MLA and medical librarianship.

If you would like to submit an article for this column, please contact Tony Nguyen, AHIP, MLAConnect column editor. We love to hear from our members and want to share your projects, accomplishments, and items of interest that you find useful. The MLA Style Manual and Submit to MLAConnect provide specific guidelines. In general, articles are between 500–700 words, they are informative more than research driven, and, most importantly, they are timely. Submissions will be reviewed prior to publication to give advice and share any possible edits.
