It is only a few weeks away from MLA 2014 in Chicago – Building our Information Future! 25 years ago at the 1989 MLA Annual Meeting in Boston, the MLA Board of Directors approved the formation of the ICS to enable more members to participate in the international cooperation. A history of ICS is found here.
To celebrate ICS’s 25th Anniversary, the International Visitors Reception at MLA 2014 will be a special birthday party for ICS! The International Visitors Reception is sponsored by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). All MLA Annual Meeting participants are invited to attend with a special invitation to all ICS members and international attendees.
Please plan to attend this party on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 6:00 pm -7:00 pm.
We hope that you can join us, but if you cannot, we will post pictures and a summary here and to the ICS listserv. In addition, please be on the lookout for articles in MLA News and other places where we will look back on ICS’s accomplishments.
