This class introduces students to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) substances and events that can be used to harm human health. Events may be due to accident, industry, or terrorism and warfare. Students will learn about authoritative information resources to use for training about and response to CBRNE events. Students will learn about the medical and public health information needs of hazardous materials and disaster responders and how to provide outreach and instruction to these responders. Use of CBRNE information resources on mobile devices is emphasized.
