ACS is holding the price of its print journals to 2009 levels. In May 2009, it introduced an early renewal program offering additional discounts to aca-demic accounts of 10, 7, and 5 percent to accounts that renew before Aug. 1, Oct. 1, and Dec. 1, respectively and pay within 30 days of invoice. In addition, for customers wanting to move to e-journals only, ACS offered accounts a 30% rebate of their 2009 print expenditures to be applied to their 2010 e-renewal.

For e-journal customers, ACS is holding to previously negotiated migration plans under its Value Based Pricing Model. For accounts without a migration plan, ACS price increase is 5%. However, all academic customers are eligible for an early renewal program discount, of 3, 2, and 1 percent to accounts that renew before Aug. 1, Oct. 1 and Dec. 1 respectively and pay within 30 days of invoice.

Brill has frozen its EURO e-only prices and US$ Electronic and print prices, and decreased the US$ e-only price with 7%. It re-introduces the print-only option at 110% of the electronic-only list price for customers who have not registered for online access. The combined electronic plus print price is set at 120% of electronic-only.
