The staff at Schwarz Health Sciences Library at Cook Children's Medical Center, Fort Worth, TX, used the hospital logo to create sticky notes, flyers, calendars and the Rx pad and rolodex card below to raise awareness of the library and family resource library. University of Florida-Gainesville Health Science Center Libraries won the 2003 NMLM Creative Promotions Award for their take on the ALA Read campaign. The library staff created Rxead posters and bookmarks featuring the college's deans. Each item included information about the library.

Magnets were prouced by the library staff at the Galter Health Sciences Library, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, to remind patrons of the library's new Website. The library's communications committee drafted the magnet design and a mass mailing of the magnet was sent to university faculty and staff.
To promote their services to patients and family members, the staff at Virginia Commonwealth University's Community Health Education Center-Richmond, worked with the hospital admissions department to include this coupon in patient admission packets. The coupons were color-coded for inpatients and outpatients.

To recognize and promote faculty scholars who have published during the previous academic year, the library staff at NYMC Health Sciences Library in Valhalla, NY, held an "Author Sherry." The "invitation-only" event, ws co-hosted by the college's Dean/Provostis. Staff created the invitations and distributed special pins in honor of the event. The staff of the Regional Academic Health Center Medical Library, Harlingen, TX, conducted consumer health resource classes and participated in health fairs to promote health literacy in their community. In addition, the library staff designed a cartoon for imprinting on bags, puzzles and other fun items for distribution at these events. The activities and the marketing items resulted in greater exposure for the library.

Recipe cards were printed by staff at Hopwood Library, UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA, to promote and increase the use of the library's nutrition resources during National Nutrition Month in March. A different set of the heart healthy recipes were distributed weekly to patients, visitors and hospital staff.

In a play on the "got milk" campaigns, the library staff at Kentucky's University of Louisville's Kornhauser Health Sciences Library, created these postcards featuring prominent members of the Louisville health sciences community.

The University of Florida Health Science Center Libraries-Gainesville used this innovative calendar format to present their 99/00 annual report. Each of the twelve cards featured a photo of the library and a monthly calendar on one side and information about the library on the flipside. Cleveland Clinic Alumni Library, Ohio, created puzzling handouts to patrons to help celebrate the anniversary of the library's new space.

MLA's Midwest Chapter created this innovative item to brand and promote their 2006 meeting in Kentucky. The burlap bundles of Kentucky bluegrass seed were attached to discarded catalog cards featuring fun Kentucky facts and the conference logo. Bracken Health Sciences Library, Queen's University, Kingston, ON, distributed these clip highlighters and antimicrobial telephone pad printing with the library's url and phone number to promote library resources and services to its outreach partners. The right side of the card serves as a business card holder.

Library and Information Commons, Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Seattle, WA used tattoos as their creative and unusual way of promoting their library's logo. To advertise the library's new technological services, Library, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, created folded mini-brochure bookmarks
