Via a business card size CD-ROM and using Flash presentation, the Health Sciences and Human Services Library, University of Maryland, Baltimore distributed this eye-catching promotional piece in celebration of the library's 190th birthday. Set to upbeat dance music, the presentation also provided a link to the library's Website The internally produced and funded presentation reportedly blew everyone away.

To promote the library's chat reference service, the staff at University of Alberta Libraries, Edmonton, created posters and matching door-hangers (for dorm rooms). A student designer helped design the materials. One year after launching the promotion, chat reference usage in the library doubled.

The library staff at Palm Beach County Library System's Community Health Information Service (CHIS) created this user-friendly brochure and bookmark to promote new services available to the community including access to additional medical reference staff and expanded print and online resources. The library's new services were also publicized on local radio, in local newspapers and at community events. With the help of these promotional items, hits to the CHIS Website continue to increase each month.
