Informationist Conference

An invitational conference was held in April 2002 to facilitate a national
discussion, derive a consensus definition, and develop recommendations
for an action agenda for the "informationist" professional in clinical
and research domains. This area has information about the conference agenda,
attendees, and more.You may also read a report
on the conference in the October 2002 Journal of the Medical Library
Association digital archives, along with T. Scott Plutchak's editorial,
"The
informationisttwo years later."
The conference organizers developed this bibliography of electronically
available materials as an overview of the informationist concept.
Numerous speakers and facilitators were available at the invitational
conference; seventeen presentations from the conference are available
for download and review.
Four video files from the April 2002 conference are available online for
viewing or downloading.
