Provisional membership is the entry-level AHIP membership, for those who are currently employed in the health information field and have less than five years experience OR are seeking employment in the field and currently have less than five years experience in the field.

Provisional Members are assigned a mentor and are required to document 8 points of continuing education each year following the first year of AHIP membership. Visit the Academy website for further information, instructions, necessary forms, and documentation requirements.
