Travel and Accommodations

Research Training Institute (RTI) participants have two options for housing arrangements that allow flexibility to choose what best fits their budgets.

University of Illinois–Chicago (UIC) Marie Robinson Hall

Approximately 1.5 miles to the Library of the Health Sciences. A bus will be available to take fellows to/from the student residence hall and the library.

UIC Marie Robinson Hall (MRH)

811 W. Maxwell St.

Chicago, IL

Cost: MRH is single occupancy for $72 per night. 

Marie Robinson Hall (TBH) is a four-story hall which includes 2-4-bedroom apartment style suites. These are apartment-style residences with private, locked bedrooms and a shared bathroom and common area that includes a living room and kitchen.

Downtown Chicago

Twenty-minute "L" train commute from downtown (State & Lake station) to UIC (Polk station) via CTA elevated pink line.

Club Quarters Hotel

75 East Wacker Drive (at Michigan Avenue)

Chicago, IL 60601

Cost: Approximately $189 per night for a single room (queen - club room) - one person. This rate is subject to change and does not include taxes. Individuals are required to make their own reservations if staying at Club Quarters or another hotel. Club Quarters offers a discounted rate for RTI attendees, see below.

  • UIC TBH: contact MLA and provide travel details, including suite-mate name, if sharing with a colleague.
  • Club Quarters: contact MLA for discount booking code before contacting hotel reservations, 203.905.2100.

Deadline for reservations is May 1, 2019, no exceptions.
