The Research Section and Medical Informatics Section are cosponsoring a data management book discussion at MLA'17:

 

Special Content Session: "#meddatalibs: A Book Group Discussion about the Intersection of Data and Medical Librarianship"

 Date: Sunday May 28th, 2017, 3-4:15 PM PST, Room 615

Cosponsored by the Research Section and Medical Informatics Section, this special content session will review the recent MLA publication: "The Medical Library Association Guide to Data Management for Librarians". Discussions will focus on the following themes covered in the book: models of data management instruction; data consultation versus data manipulation services; discoverability challenges; and the open data movement. We encourage all attendees to participate in this discussion and hope this special content sessions serves as a catalyst for the creation of a formal medical data librarian community.
