Financial Support Available for MLA ’17

Meeting Grant opportunities:

EBSCO/MLA Annual Meeting Grant: Enables medical librarians with 5 years or less experience working in health sciences libraries to attend MLA’s annual meeting.

Ysabel Bertolucci MLA Annual Meeting Grant: Enables a librarian involved in nursing, allied health, consumer health, or international librarianship to attend MLA’s annual meeting.

Section Sponsored Grants:

Educational Media and Technologies

  • Annual Meeting Grant, $250.00 (open to EMTS members): Presented to cover travel expenses to the MLA annual meeting.

Hospital Libraries

  • Travel grant to MLA annual meeting, $1000.00 (open to HLS members): Covers travel expenses to the MLA annual meeting.

Public Health/Health Administration

  • Travel Stipend, up to $1000 (open to PH/HA members): Assists one section member in attending the MLA annual meeting who would otherwise have difficulty in doing so.

Public Services

  • MLA Meeting Travel Stipend, $500.00: Covers travel expenses to the MLA annual meeting.
