MLA ’18 Colleague Connection: Sign up by April 23

Colleague Connection is the Medical Library Association’s mentoring program that pairs newer members or first-time meeting attendees with returning, experienced members at the Annual Meeting. Most pairs will be assigned by April 23, to allow plenty of time to contact your mentor/mentee in advance.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Mentees and Mentors may register here: https://www.research.net/r/ccmla18

The program matches new attendees to the association and helps them get the most out of the meeting. Contacts made through Colleague Connection can lead to ongoing friendships and expand professional contacts.

If you are a new member or first-time conference attendee, pair up with an experienced colleague at the meeting in Atlanta!  Colleague Connection provides an opportunity to learn more about the meeting, maximize your time, meet new colleagues, build professional networks, and learn about the profession.

As mentors, returning members also benefit from Colleague Connection -- whether you have decades of experience or only a few years. Mentoring a colleague during the conference will expand your professional network and expose you to new perspectives. Most importantly, you have the opportunity to help someone navigate a new organization and profession.

Those who sign-up by Monday, April 23 will be assigned a mentor or mentee before the meeting. Once assigned, each pair will be responsible for arranging times to meet at MLA ’18.

If you have any questions, please contact Alexandria Brackett (alexandria.brackett@yale.edu) and Janene Batten (janene.batten@yale.edu), MLA Membership Committee members.
