Systems Librarian , University Libraries, Georgia Regents University (GRU)
The University Libraries of Georgia Regents University invite applications for the position of systems librarian. The primary focus of this non-tenure-track faculty position is the support and development of library systems, including the integrated library system (ILS). The position provides SQL-based reports from the ILS, provides effective use of technologies for the libraries, recommends software and trains staff on a variety of software packages, and performs liaison and other university-related duties.

Reference Librarian 2
The University of Alabama–Birmingham (UAB), Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences (www.uab.edu/lister/), is seeking a creative, energetic, and flexible librarian for our reference team. Responsibilities include reference service with some rotating weekend hours; liaison activities for an assigned school; research consultations; classroom, web-based, and customized instruction; online and database searching;, outreach and marketing activities; and participation on library and university committees. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the profession and to build a record of progressive scholarly and professional achievement.
Required: ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent.
Preferred: 2 years’ reference experience in an academic health sciences library, skill in teaching adult learners, experience searching biomedical literature and academic databases including MEDLINE, demonstrated enthusiasm and aptitude for emerging technologies, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Experience with e-science and data curation and/or resource licensing also highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a strong public service orientation, initiative, flexibility, the ability to adapt and work creatively in a rapidly changing environment, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of library staff and patrons, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This is a nontenure-track faculty position with rank dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, reporting to the assistant director for reference services.
