Library of Congress Section 108 Study Group

The Library of Congress has convened a study group to re-examine the exceptions and limitations applicable to libraries and archives under the Copyright Act, specifically in light of the changes resulting by digital media. The group is charged with studying how Section 108 of the Copyright Act may need to be amended to address relevant issues and concerns of libraries and archives, as well as creators and other copyright holders, and to make recommendations to the Librarian of Congress in 2006.
