Institute of Museum and Library Services

MLA supports the initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to develop a competitive grant program that promotes the recruitment and education of librarians for the 21st century.

In May 2002, the association submitted a statement of support, and described similar efforts MLA has undertaken in the areas of recruitment and education initiatives that further the association's goal to for rebuilding and retooling the profession of health sciences librarianship.
