Self-Directed Learning Program

MLA's Role

MLA agrees to approve mentors and review learning contracts and number of CE hours sought as quickly as possible. MLA cannot approve a contract with fewer than three (3) hours of work listed to complete the project.

Upon completion of the project, MLA agrees to review the completed learning contract and mentor's letter and award credit as quickly as possible. MLA will only award up to 10 MLA CE contact hours (30 or more hours of work) per contract.

MLA reserves the right to contact learners and mentors for clarification at any point in the project.

MLA may request an additional evaluation of the project after the learning contract is submitted to ascertain success. MLA will not limit the number of self-directed learning projects completed by one person.
