Scott Garrison earned a master's of library science from
the University of California - Los Angeles. Having worked in health sciences
library systems for eleven years, he is currently adjunct faculty at the
Univeristy of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Information and Library
Science (SILS) and title III project manager at Central Michigan University.
Garrison has taught in-person continuing education courses for librarians
on several topics since 1996. With Eric Schnell, he teaches SILS' online
distance education course Demystifying Open Source Software for Librarians,
using the Blackboard platform.
