To top of page Admission Application Procedures

1) All applications must be postmarked by March 28, 2008. Applicants will receive notice of admission by April 1, 2008.

2) All applicants must submit their own MLA-approved CE course that they plan to convert to a web format to be eligible for the CE Institute. If the course you are submitting is not already approved for MLA hours, please complete the online course application in the MLA Continuing Education Clearinghouse. Applicants will need to go to instructor sign-up and log-in before submitting the online application with the appropriate approval fees. Make sure to indicate on the Institute application that the course has recently been submitted.

3) Only one instructor per MLA-approved CE course may apply to the institute. If the course you are applying with is team taught, only one instructor from the team may attend.

4) The institute's enrollment is limited to twenty scholars. From the total number of seats, no more than ten have been reserved for qualified NN/LM coordinators and their MLA-approved courses. The remainder will be open to qualified MLA-approved instructors. Preference will be given to MLA members.

There are two ways to submit your application to MLA.

1) Web Submission

This is the quickest and easiest way to submit your Institute Admissions Application. Upon submission, you will receive email notification that your application has been received.

2) Download & Mail Application (snail mail)

Download a PDF version of the Institute admission application (PDF, 28KB). Mail the completed application along with any necessary materials (see #2 above) to the address below:
