Lamar Soutter Library, University of Massachusetts Medical School: Under the general direction of the associate director, the research and scholarly communication services manager leads and supports the library staff in developing and implementing library services related to the publication, dissemination, and impact of UMass Medical School’s scholarship. This leadership position is responsible for planning, setting goals, setting priorities, and designing and monitoring workflow of the department, and for building partnerships with groups across the medical school.
Required: Master’s degree in library science; 5 years’ professional experience including supervisory and/or project management experience; thorough understanding of the current issues in scholarly communication; and demonstrated commitment to mentoring, training, and developing staff.
Preferred: Membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals preferred; second degree in health sciences, education, science, or public health area.
