Dining Around Atlanta

It’s always exciting to explore local eateries in any new city. While the downtown area of Atlanta offers a wealth of diverse restaurants, some places are only open during certain hours and some restaurants may have a 45-minute to an hour wait time during the dinner rush.

To assist with your dining selections during the conference, check out the Dining Guide inside your MLA ’18 meeting bags or stop by the Hospitality Booth to ask about local restaurants near the conference. In addition to the Dining Guide, some apps that can assist you in selecting a place to eat include:

These apps offer reviews, hours, distance, and price range of nearby eateries downtown. All of the apps can be downloaded onto an iPhone or Android. OpenTable can even be used to make restaurant reservations without having to create an account. You can also check out the following Eater Atlanta article on some of the best restaurants in Atlanta’s downtown area.

If you want a chance to mix with some colleagues during dinner, there will be several dine-arounds held on Thursday, Friday, and Monday at some of Atlanta’s local eateries. You can sign-up for the dine-arounds using the following links: Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Additional detailed information regarding the dine-arounds will be available soon.
