This course will provide an overview of electronic resource management
systems (ERMS) (e.g., their evolution, a comparison of commercial
systems, etc.) and discuss existing and emerging standards related
to ERMS. Attendees will learn what to consider when purchasing an
ERMS, including designing a rubric for evaluation and writing a
detailed request for information. The course will also discuss the
challenges of coding license agreements and best practices for managing
e-resources and workflows.
