To top of page Getting Around

When it comes to getting around the city, DC has one of the safest, cleanest, and most efficient public transportation systems in the world. Metro, the subway system, stops within walking distance of most of DC’s hotels, attractions, and other points of interest for visitors. Metrobus fills in many of the gaps with service into the neighborhoods.

DC’s newest transportation option, the DC Circulator, offers quick and easy connections between downtown and the National Mall, Union Station, and Georgetown and even runs a seasonal loop around the National Mall for just $1 per ride.
