Our patrons are increasingly integrating mobile and web-based technologies
into daily practice. It is essential for librarians to investigate,
experiment, and utilize these technologies to meet their users where
they are and to increase access to timely and relevant health information
at the point of need. Topics discussed include: geolocation, social
media, podcasting, collaboration tools, social networking, new devices
(iPhones, G1-Google phones, Blackberrys, smartphones, iPods, Kindles),
and methods for keeping up to date.
