Locating Cancer Information for Your Clinicians and Patients

Cost: $345 (nonmember, $590)

Instructor(s): Stephanie Fulton, AHIP, Assistant Director, Research Medical Library, and Elizabeth Brackeen, Senior Librarian, The Learning Center, University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center-Houston

Offered: Friday, May 15, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

This hands-on searching course will cover the basics of oncology concepts and online resources and will be jointly taught by a consumer health librarian and research medical librarian. Topics include diagnosis, treatment and side effects, drug information and clinical trials, ways to formulate clinical questions, and advanced cancer and prognostic information.
