The course is designed for MLA members who are considering becoming
an academic health sciences library director. Four directors provide
personal perspectives on their leadership paths and on some critical
leadership skills and background needed for success. These include
personal assessment of leadership skills and management philosophy,
finance and budgeting, and the politics of leadership in academia.
The format is online background information, presentation and dialogue
and small group discussion.
