Rapid Web-based Course Development: A Hands-on Workshop

Offered: Friday, May 16, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

As a librarian, you may be asked to create a web course or tutorial within days to meet an emerging learning need of your patrons. This workshop will provide hands-on practice with a number of different tools to speed up the development process. Participants will learn how to transform existing electronic presentations into training with slide indexing, Flash-based interactive exercises, narration, simulations, and integrated video clips. Teaching effectiveness and productivity will be emphasized, and good instructional design will be discussed.
