This course will assist attendees in defining leadership,
identifying types of leadership, and categorizing the qualities
of a good leader. Topics to be covered include management versus
leadership, vision and strategic planning, project management, change
management, effective styles of communication, special challenges
of leading in today's health care environment, MLA's Academy of
Health Information Professionals and other pathways for professional
development, and building trust and effective teams.
