From its easily accessible and efficient airport to a full complement of professional transportation services, Phoenix offers visitors convenience in travel, with car rental companies and shuttle services in and around the airport; the efficient Valley Metro bus system; and the free Copper Square Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH). Getting to Phoenix is easy: Sky Harbor International Airport is served by 19 major airlines and 5 commuter airlines that provide nonstop service to 111 cities in the United States and around the world. Sky Harbor provides low-fare service to more destinations than any other any airport in the United States.
Phoenix serves as a hub for America West Airlines, and Southwest Airlines uses Sky Harbor as an operational center, providing convenient connections to virtually any major domestic city. Although Sky Harbor is one of the busiest airports in the world, passengers regard the facility as efficient and easily navigable.
Superbly located, Sky Harbor International Airport is just 5 minutes from downtown Phoenix and only 20 to 30 minutes from most major resorts.

Phoenix Civic Plaza's major expansion will create challenges, and city planners are committed to helping you plan ahead by ensuring that you are aware of the best routes to get into downtown Phoenix. Parking for patrons and guests attending Phoenix Civic Plaza events is available at the locations below. Authorization to park in reserved, disabled parking spaces, located adjacent to elevators in all facilities, requires a plate or decal. Phoenix Civic Plaza features fully accessible routes from all parking and transportation areas.
Rate Standards and Exceptions
The standard parking event rate is $5 for the listed garages.
- Civic Plaza Garage: 4th Street and Monroe 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Jefferson Street Garage 333 East Jefferson Subject to event activity
- Civic Plaza East Garage: 601 East Washington 6:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Exceptions occur when the nearby facilities listed below are hosting events:
- America West Arena: Jefferson Street Garage, $7
- Chase Field: Jefferson Street Garage, $10; and Civic Plaza East Garage, $8.00
