Join a team of experts for a journey into the world of the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS). Students will gain a basic comprehension of many of the components of the UMLS; an understanding of tools that may be used with the knowledge sources, including various lexical and other software programs; and criteria for assessing the usefulness of specific controlled vocabularies for clinical, research, and educational purposes.
