MLA '05: Job Placement Center
- Job seekers and employers
must register with the Job Placement Center by completing the required
forms. Late submissions will be accepted onsite through Tuesday, May
17.
- All forms will be accepted whether or not you are able to attend MLA
'05; only employers are assessed fees for participating.
Information
for Employers
You must download,
print, complete, and fax or mail a job opportunities form to take advantage
of this unique occasion to locate candidates. Contact Beverly
Bradley at 312.419.9094 x13 to receive the form by mail or fax.
Forms will be filed in a job opportunities notebook for inspection by
meeting attendees. This is the only form that will be accepted for
the job opportunities notebook. No other job forms will be included.
Job Placement Center staff will assist representatives in arranging interviews
with job applicants during MLA '05.
Fees
MLA Institutional Members: $100 per listing
Non-MLA Institutions: $150 per listing
In addition to the onsite Job Placement Center, employers can post job
opportunities on the MLA '05 Website for $50.00 for two months. An additional
opportunity exists to place job postings in the special April print edition
of the MLA News.
Salary Information
All job listings must include at least a minimum salary or salary range.
The Job Placement Center will not accept forms that do not list a salary.

personal resumes. They will be discarded. Do bring copies of your
resume to distribute to employer representatives with whom you interview.
Fees: There is no fee for applicants to use the Job Placement
Center.

Deadline and Additional
Instructions
To be indexed in the Job Placement Center notebooks,
forms must reach MLA no later than April 22, 2005. Please give
late forms to the registrar on duty at the Job Placement Center. Late
forms will be added to the "Late Arrivals" section of the notebooks
at the end of the day on which they are received and will not be indexed.
Participants may not remove notebooks from the Job Placement Center.
Catalogs of job opportunities and applicant forms will be available for
sale.
