Develop a new role for librarians as teachers of the publication process. Learn the publishing process so you can teach it to health care professionals at your institution. Examine types of published articles, examples of quality journals, appropriate way to prepare a manuscript, and legal and copyright issues. Discuss the editorial peer-review process and conversion of a poster session or talk into a publishable manuscript.
