In light of the latest natural disaster in New Orleans (tornadoes on March 22) as well as the important support provided to New Orleans, the Local Assistance Committee and National Program Committee have chosen Second Harvest Food Bank as the Service Project for MLA '22.

- Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans was founded in 1982 by Archbishop Philip M. Hannan, Bishop Roger P. Morin, and Gregory Ben Johnson, Director of the Social Apostolate of the Archdiocese.
- Second Harvest Food Bank leads the fight against hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response.
MLA hopes you will support Second Harvest, as you are able to do so, because they focus their efforts on Southern Louisiana- and New Orleans in particular.
